PA Hire
PA Hire Is our main activity. We usually provide a fully engineered service using 2 staff, one at stage side at the mixing desk and another out front to ensure the Front of House is working well too. We do not usually hire out equipment without the engineering service. The standard PA configuration is
We describe the rig as 2kW rig but we can beef up to 3kW with the addition of extra Peavey tops and Peavey power amps.
A guideline price for the above including engineers is £300 for 2kW and £350 for 3kW but all requirements are done on an individual basis.
We do have some rudimentary lighting rigs and strobes – contact us for details
Recording
Using an Akai DPS16i Digital Hard Disk recorder we can record live performances in a simple “straight off the desk” 2 channel stereo format or demo CDs.
Our demo CDs have won a huge number of gigs for the bands who have recorded with us. Demos are recorded onto true CD quality sound with the recorders in built FX and mastering via Steinberg’s Wavelab you are assured of a great sounding CD.
Guideline prices for a demo CD taking 7 hours to record and 3 hours to master is £200.
Larger projects and other options can be discussed
Live Music Promotion
We sometimes get involved in the organisation of gigs and can advise the pros and cons of doing that given our experience as working musicians.
ReadingRocks has acted as promoter, taking on the marketing and sound management issues of the performance. However we do not finance projects and only act in this regards on a contracted basis. Several of our staff have extensive experience in Marketing and Promotion so are ideally placed to advise in this difficult area of the music business.
